About
Our Story
Greg and Subrina Collier, the dynamic duo behind Uptown Yolk, first introduced their culinary vision to Rock Hill in 2012 weaving their Memphis roots with a fresh take on Southern hospitality and vibes.
As the world shifted in 2020, so did they, embracing the challenges to hone and redefine their concepts. This resilience blossomed into the launch of their full-service spot in Charlotte in 2020 with Leah & Louise. L& L received accolades such as #2 in the country from Esquire magazine, Bon Appetit, Global Tastemaker Awards Top 20 in the Country and a visit from our Madam Vice President Kamala Harris.
Uptown Yolk isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a community cornerstone for brunch, recognized in Essence magazine as a Must-Visit Black-owned eatery in 2024 and a CBS Mornings segment, its a place where every meal is an event—from game nights with spades to Juneteenth celebrations, making every gathering memorable. The Memphis, Tennessee meets Memphis Milan art deco interior design is meant to immediately brighten your mood at any point in the day.
Uptown Yolk's goal is to blend elevated classics with imaginative new dishes in an environment that's as sophisticated as it is modern. We use the hashtag #breakslow because sometimes you just need to slow down and smell the pancakes.
